Support Worker
We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities to join our team:
Role of a support worker:

• Able to provide person-centered support while utilizing their recovery-focused approach in their care.
• Providing motivation and support throughout their roles of cleaning, shopping cooking, medication administration and escorting patients to their appointments.
• Attains communication skills when interacting with any patients, customers, supervisors, staff members, etc.
• Has the ability to work efficiently in a team environment, unsupervised and ability to work independently if needed to.
• Being proactive and responsive when dealing with concerns relating to customer care.
• Complete customer documentation efficiently as well as creating concise reports with extensive details.
• Able to work with a different range of people with disability and the ability to assist their low/moderate/high needs with high-quality service.
• Able to adapt to varying roster from shifts ranging from 4-8 hours. Capable of working overnights, shifts, short shifts, and inclusive split shifts.
• Able to deliver personal care and personal administration

 
Skills:

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Sound administration skills (e.g.; computer literacy)
• Honest and respectful to all customers, patients, and staff.
• extensive understanding of the significance of the Disability standards and ability to transform standards into their everyday work.

• Ability to work under pressure
